Would the real (commercial) marketeer please stand up?
One can say or think many things about marketing, but not that it is a boring occupation! A great deal has been happening in this field in recent years. Budgets are under pressure and marketeers must be able to substantiate the results of their efforts (accountability). This means they have to get closer to the client and think seriously about which proposition they aim to offer. In doing so, they must also take possible conflicts of interest into account between ‘what the client wants’ and ‘what the rest of the organisation can deliver’. Marketing is the motor that creates value, not the sand that brings that motor to a grinding halt!
If you are looking for the right marketeer / personality that can lift your organisation to a higher plane in the future, please contact me!

Marketing • recruitment
In principle, the recruitment method we apply to find the right marketing professionals for your organisation is not very different to an effective promotion campaign your organisation would run. When you want to reach your target group, you also weigh up the costs against the expected results. So do we.
From years of experience, we have developed a method that generates a broad recruitment of candidates. Broad because we search for the right personality with the right competences and a strong intrinsic motivation, not for a supermarketeer based on hard criteria.
This means applying the right media mix and contacting candidates in our database. Experience has taught us that this method guarantees a fast and successful selection procedure – and that, after all, is what you want! |

Marketing • selection and development
The successful future marketeer has sales experience!
A marketeer must have dealt with customers, experienced turnover pressure, and must know how it feels to be judged on results. Only then can one decide how to apply one’s valuable time and resources as efficiently as possible to achieve maximum results. Staying focused, and having the courage to make decisions are what it is all about! Successful marketeers are analytically strong salesmen who empathise with their clients and market, and opt for concrete action aimed at achieving results.
The marketeer needs competences and skills that, in essence, are no different to those of a good salesman, such as good entrepreneurship, ability to cope with stress, political behaviour, persuasiveness, creativity and innovativeness!
This also means that on the basis of hard criteria such as education or relevant work experience alone is not advisable. Neither do results achieved in the past provide a guarantee for success in the future. It is more effective to apply the entire recruitment and selection method on a broader scale, with wider recruitment, by inviting many candidates, and by searching for the right commercial personality for the position. |
